Hi! My name is Kaitlyn Astro and I'm a filmmaker based in California. I am specialized in 2D animation, After Effects compositing, VFX, and digital art.I've been working on films since 2022 and I'm passionate about helping others with projects! It's always been my dream to bring my work to life through the medium of animation/VFX, and I strive to tell ambitious stories that will inspire people.

I'm the producer for this film and helped make spreadsheets to organize, do animated work and help with compositing shots.
Apollo and I - 2026
A film I directed about an awkward girl who realizes her new friend is a vampire.
FLICKER - 2026
I helped as a gaffer on this experimental film about a man's final moments.
A la Distancia - 2026
A documentary about a Mexican immigrant working as a paletero. I created the end credits for this film.
When We Dream Of Rockets - 2026
An experimental film that showcases some visual work and focuses on a topic I'm passionate about.
Totally Normal - 2025
I created the animations throughout the film including the end credits!
A Fading Hope (Star Wars Fan-Film) - 2025
I wrote and directed this short project, as my first time directing for live-action film. I also did the vfx work on the lightsabers and editing.

Quick short film completely made by myself, inspired by my real life dogs.
